I am a Bilingual (English and Spanish), EMDR trained, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. My passion centers on serving the Austin community and acting as a driving force for positive change. My professional experience includes individual, family, couple, and group therapy in various therapeutic settings; including in-home, private practice, non-profit organizations, community agencies, schools, and alternative educational programs, drug treatment facilities, and organizations operated by the Juvenile Justice System.  My goal is always to provide my clients with a safe and nurturing environment that promotes insight, resilience, and healing.  I strive to be a holder of hope in their lives and work to empower them to find the light in every obstacle they face.

I take great pride in the unique and valuable skill set that I have as a Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT). I believe that my knowledge and experience about relationships and family systems is a personal strength that has allowed me to be successful in identifying and treating not only the individual needs of my client’s, but extend into the underlying relational needs that individual counseling alone would not explore. I am confident in my skills in treating trauma, attachment, family-of-origin and systemic issues that impact children and adolescents who are at-risk, on probation, and/or experiencing behavioral or mental health concerns. I strive to assist my clients in developing long-term and sustainable solutions that will not only improve and benefit their individual lives but also benefit the entire family system.

My involvement within our community also includes serving as an advocate for trauma-informed services, volunteering as an eating disorder activist and motivational speaker. I utilize my voice to address the stigma and misunderstandings associated with eating disorders, as well as educate and provide a more realistic perspective of the pain and struggles faced by those living with these devastating diseases.
